Count-and-Bake Books-Yum!

Ezra had so much fun making cookies with grammy the other day. He made some of his favorite shapes — including dinosaurs with many eyes and baby feet for his baby-brother-to-be.

We don’t have dessert too often at home, but we also have a blasting making no-bake peanut butter balls and muffins together. It’s a fun way to learn measurements, counting, and language around the kitchen.

It may be no surprise to you that Ezra enjoys reading about baking just as much! Some of his favorites include — 1,2,3,4, Cake! and 1,2,3,4, Cupcake! The books have simple illustrations that help children learn measurements, counting, and ingredients—and how it all works together to make something delicious.

If you enjoy getting in the kitchen with your kids, or you’re looking for a fun way to teach counting, I’d highly recommend a book by Little Bakers!

Do you bake or cook with your child? If so, what do you make together?
